Description of item
This is a zine by soruto, a graffiti writer from Okayama who also participated in Stacks Issue 3 and is currently based in Osaka.
It was published during the exhibition of the same name held at stacks bookstore in April 2022.
The book is like a personal novel, mainly consisting of drawings and paintings but also including photographs.
Soruto draws in an abstract style, even among his Graffiti works. By viewing his original landscapes captured in this work, you will be able to understand his world more deeply.
--Born and raised in a seaside town.
From there, I just kept moving forward, aiming for something, and before I knew it, I was here.
When I looked back, the original place was far away and no longer visible, but there was only the irregular line that I had traced to get there.
All we can do is keep extending this line until we get somewhere.

"Stacks" is a zine that compiles works by artists from various genres, both domestic and international, who have their roots in street culture.
Previous titles in the "stacks" series have been published by BlackEyePatch, a Tokyo-based fashion brand that works on a variety of projects, but this will be the first time that a title will be published independently under the "stacks" title.
The participating artists are diverse, ranging from domestic and international photographers to illustrators and tattoo artists, and we look forward to seeing what they do in the future.
